Still, Turner pities those who are seeking to convict him and his associates.
"They have messed up big time," Turner said outside the courtroom. "We're not gonna win (in District Court). This case will be won in a higher court, and the higher this court goes, the more trouble these people will be in.
Six Seek Fast Track for Cockfight Trial: Courts: Preliminary Hearing Waived

Feb. 3--WALTERS -- Six defendants charged with cockfighting in Cotton County waived their rights to a preliminary hearing Friday.
Each defendant pleaded not guilty to a felony charge that could carry up to 10 years in state prison, or a fine up to $25,000.
"Ultimately, our goal is to get this on a fast track for trial," said Oklahoma City attorney Irven Box, who represents the six defendants. "We don't believe the state has jurisdiction, so one of our goals is to get it in an appellate court. This is a very complicated case. The cockfighting was done on, quote, 'Indian Country.'
"We've spent a great deal of time at the Historical Society researching Indian treaties and so forth. This isn't a simple case whatsoever."
